Kohta Takahashi started playing piano at the age of 4 for 6 years, programming at the age of 12, and guitar at the age of 22. He has been working for Namco since 1995, composing music for Ace Combat 2, Kaze no Klonoa series, and Ridge Racer series. Retired from Namco in 2001. In 2001, Kohta Takahashi left the company to become an independent musician, and while working as a contract artist for the WarnerMusic techno label, the label disappeared. Since then, He has been working as a freelance musician, Composes, arranges, performs, records, mixes, and produces music for Dub, HipHop, Rock, Electro music, and game soundtracks.

4歳から6年間ピアノ、12歳からプログラミング、22歳からギターを始め、1995年からナムコでエースコンバット2、風のクロノアシリーズ、リッジレーサーシリーズなどの作曲を担当する。2001年に独立し、ワーナーミュージックのテクノレーベルの契約アーティストとして活動中、レーベルが消滅。以後フリーランスのミュージシャンとして、Dub、HipHop、Rock、Electro music、ゲームサウンドトラック等の作曲、編曲、演奏、録音、ミキシング、プロデュース等を行う。

In Ridge Racer Type 4, he was in charge of the music and sound effects for the opening movie as well as the background music.
For Ridge Racer V, he also served as sound director for outside artists in addition to BGM.
Winner of the Playstation Awards 2000 Gold Prize / Sound Award for the same work.
